Directions to Downtown Annapolis

From the North: From the Baltimore Beltway, take I-97 South to Annapolis. When I-97 South ends, merge onto Route 50 East. Take Exit 24 to Rowe Blvd, and turn right off the exit. Follow directions for parking.

From the Eastern Shore: Take Route 50 West. Take Exit 24A to Rowe Blvd. Follow directions for parking.

From the West: Take Route 50 East. Take Exit 24 to Rowe Blvd, and turn right off the exit. Follow directions for parking.

From Southern Maryland: Take Route 301 North. Take Route 50 East. Take Exit 24 to Rowe Blvd, and turn right off the exit. Follow directions for parking. Alternatively, take Route 2 North. After Route 2 becomes Solomons Island Rd., turn right onto West Street. Follow directions for parking.

Parking in Annapolis

During the Legislative Session: As parking is difficult during session, we encourage you to park in one of the downtown garages or in the Naval Academy Stadium lot. Prices range from $5 to $16 depending on where you park. To get a place in the garage, you must usually be here by 9 a.m. If you are arriving later, you should consider parking at the Naval Academy Stadium.

NEW INFORMATION THIS YEAR

There is a free circulator trolley that can pick up people from the garages and drop people off on Church Circle next to the Governor’s Mansion and State House. It operates from 6:30 a.m. to 12 midnight. See more information at: http://www.annapolis.gov/Government/Departments/Transportation/Circulator.aspx.

The shuttle buses from the Stadium now cost $2 a ride. See more information at: http://www.ci.annapolis.md.us/Government/Departments/Transportation/Parking.aspx.

Whether you take the free circulator trolley or the shuttle bus from the stadium, ask the driver where to debark closest to the State House or one of the legislative office buildings.

Outside of the Legislative Session: If you are going to be in Annapolis for two hours or less, there is normally ample street parking in the downtown area. Bring quarters, as some of the spots have meters. If you will be here longer than two hours, we recommend parking in one of the garages, as the City of Annapolis does ticket.

Public Policy Partners’ Office

Public Policy Partners’ office is located at 48 Maryland Avenue, Suite 304. We are a block from the State House. Maryland Avenue is one of the streets the meets State Circle. From the State House, walk down Maryland Avenue and we’re toward the end of the block on the left. The overhang above the entrance reads “Opera House.”
